About the Exhibition
The Space Between marks the final exhibition at Gallery Chang’s 55th Street location, bringing together selected works by artists who have shaped the gallery’s program and vision. Featuring Ed Moses, Kim Kang Yong, Shane Guffogg, Todd Williamson, Miguel Ángel Iglesias, Steven Seinberg, Alison Van Pelt, and others, the exhibition reflects the range of practices and perspectives that have defined this chapter of Gallery Chang in New York.
The title refers to the space between what has been and what is still becoming—a moment of transition rather than an ending. Across abstraction, materiality, gesture, light, and perception, the works in the exhibition create a dialogue between distinct artistic languages while reflecting the gallery’s ongoing interest in artists whose practices evolve through experimentation, repetition, and transformation.
As Gallery Chang concludes its time on 55th Street, The Space Between serves both as a farewell and as a passage toward what comes next. On January 14, 2027, the gallery will begin a new chapter in Chelsea at 28th Street, expanding its exhibition program and continuing its commitment to connecting established and emerging artistic voices across New York, Korea, and beyond.
